Laugh like there's no tomorrow!
My last entry was July 1? My god! Stupid internet connection. It actually took 2 months for it to get back. But it's back now, finally!!
I missed blogging! Nothing has changed much, though. ..Work as usual, except that I'm enjoying it even more these days. I just have so much fun with my colleagues! We're like, laughing all the time, nonstop! I just got off from night duty. Me and my friend, we literally laughed the whole night. We just swapped stories and laughed our heads off. And it felt incredibly amazing! We have a new motto now. Laugh like there's no tomorrow! :)
But it's been pretty quiet in the hospital, lately. Patient census is pretty low, and right now, we don't have any patients in the ICU at all. My schedule has been - what? duty- on call - duty - off -on call - duty -off.... It's like going on vacation. I enjoyed it, yes! I got to paint a lot with all that extra time. But it's gone too far!!! It's been like this for the past 3 weeks now. My next paycheck should be a killer! Haha!
Yes, I've been painting a lot. I'm getting better at it - I think. I've also just recently started doing photography. My dad was into photography in his younger years. So I asked him to teach me. He has this Sony digital camera that has manual settings. It's the closest to an SLR I could ever get. I might have a knack at it, who knows? :)

Excited ^-^

We are going to Palawan this month! My aunt, uncle, and cousins are coming home from the States mid- July to celebrate my grandma's birthday. And we are going to spend 2 nights in El Nido Resort, Palawan. I've been to Dos Palmas last year, and it was nothing short of PARADISE. I heard El Nido is even better. Can't wait!
Copied this one from a Wet Shop paper bag. Very Boracay-y, vacation-y, summer-y picture.
^-^
Family Time
Last night, we were all gathered in my parent's room, relaxing after a long day. My dad just came home from his trip to Thailand. All 3 of us (My sister, my dad, and I) were sprawled on the bed, eating potato chips and lazing around. A couple of adorable tote bags were spread out on the bed and my sis and I deciding which one of us would take which bag. They were his pasalubong. My mom was at her desk making to-do lists, arranging papers, and whatnot. The room was a mess - there was laundry on the floor, an assortment of Thai nuts and snacks were spread out on the table, my dad's luggage stood at a corner still half empty, and none of us had had our baths yet. My mom didn't seem to mind - not yet anyway. It was just one of those days where everyone was in a light mood. It was family time.
Just a few hours earlier, I was in tears. I felt lost. I knew perfectly well why I came here. And somehow, I knew that this was the right thing to do. And yet, no amount of reasoning with myself would calm this sort of panic I feel everytime I think of it.
I do know one thing, though. Family time like that of last night feels right.

All Things Girly

I like browsing for pictures on the web. I found a pretty picture of 3 pink bright roses in glaring white background on gettyimages.com. The photo made me think of all girly things - dollhouses, cotton candy, ruffles, and debuts. I tried to do a painting of it. I couldn't get the exact bright pink color. I ended up with this. I hope its not too bad.

ZzZzZzZzZ.....
Two slices of 18-inch pizza, a can of Coke, 8 shots of vodka, a few glasses of orange juice, and a bag of peanuts. Under the stars, by the roadside, with friends from work, still in uniforms, in the wee hours of the morning. An impromptu night-out filled with giddy laughter, drinks, joy-rides, and carefree chatter. The perfect high-calorie stress buster after a (not so) busy afternoon shift at the hospital. ^-^ Something tells me I'm going to have a good night's sleep..
